The Waldo Broadband Corporation (WBC) partnership grant between the Maine Connectivity Authority and Direct Communications was approved in June 2024. The contractual completion date is October 15, 2026.
WBC residents who sign up during this time period (before 10/15/26) will have the $100 installation waived.
All inquiries about the status of the build, installation schedule and services should be directed to Direct Communication.
WBC will continue to act in an advisory role during the build phase. WBC will also, in its non-profit role, promote opportunities for community education and additional grants to serve the community needs once the network is completed.
